The advantages of this innovative technology are numerous, as it represents the perfect fusion of a conventional propulsion system and an electric motor. This results in quiet navigation and exceptional environmental friendliness. Thanks to the innovative Hybrid Control Unit (HCU) monitoring device, developed entirely by CMD, managing and transitioning between fully electric and internal combustion propulsion becomes simple and fast.
This system allows for navigation at a maximum speed of 6/7 knots in Full Electric mode while automatically recharging the battery pack in internal combustion mode.
The HCU also offers additional functionalities, including start/stop implementation, navigation and dockside charging management, control of onboard auxiliary devices such as the cooling pump and power steering, and management of Canbus parameters sent to the display.
Our hybrid system enables navigation in protected marine areas, such as those of tourist interest (ecotourism) or those dedicated to organic aquaculture, where it is essential to respect the surrounding environment by maintaining silence and zero pollutant emissions.
