Sunday, October 7th Mr. Luigi Di Maio, Minister of Economic Development and Vicepremier of Italian government, visited CMD Costruzioni Motori Motori in Atella, Basilicata region. During his visit, which lasted almost two hours, the Minister met CMD top management and took a tour of fully automated automotive and marine engines production site.
He discussed with Avio Division team, involved in two important engines' development projects for general aviation, and with Energy Division staff, which illustrated the technological innovation of CHP system.
Minister Di Maio appreciated CMD's high level of technology and know-how gained through the years in engineering industry and praised for progress achieved by the company.
Vicepremier had also a profitable exchange of ideas with Mr. Mariano Negri, CEO of CMD, attesting company's vision and reaffirming the need for companies located in Southern Italy to reach high levels of competitiveness on national and foreign markets, even considering the relations with PRC minister is dealing with in this period.
58th Genoa International boat show has just come to end few days ago; according figures released during event's final conference, visitors increased 16% more than 2017.
FNM team is completely satisfied with results obtained during Genoa's show in terms of turnout: lots of visitors and dealers have crowded into FNM booth, showing deep interest and strong curiosity to our niche marine engines.
Supported by this positive feedback, FNM team is ready to face 2019 challenge.

After a year’s absence, FNM Marine is going to attend as a key player the 58th edition of Genoa International Boat Show, the most representative boat event in Mediterranean area.
During the exhibition, FNM will introduce to all visitors two innovative cutting edge engines.
The first engine is a new entry: the 42 HPE 330, a 4-stroke, 6 cylinder, 243Kw/ 330 HP, direct “common rail” injection electronically controlled, turbocharged and aftercooled diesel engine, with meaningful advantages related to performances, consumptions and durability. The 42HPE 330 applications are either for pleasure and commercial purposes.
The second one exhibitors’ visitors will see at the FNM stand is the 13 HPE, a 4-cylinder engine built according to the 1,3 Multijet II, guaranteeing high performances at each operating condition. 13HPE engine, as well as the 20HPE and 30HPE, can be used either for pleasure and commercial purposes. Available even in hybrid version, unique and small, it allows zero emission navigation in protected areas and can easily switch from traditional into electric navigation. 13HPE engine has also a considerable advantage compared to the other competitors: it can be used without boat licence, according new current regulations.
FNM Marine has been working for decades in inboard and in-outboard marine engines design and production. It rely on a highly R&D skilled team and on a thirty year know-how applied on all production lines. FNM Marine is waiting for you at booth no. PW 28 (Marina P.Le Scoperto Motori) at 58° International Boat Show of Genoa, most relevant boat show in Mediterranean area. Exhibition will be held at Fiera of Genoa on September, 20-25 and it will be the right place to introduce to International customers our 2018 latest marine diesel engines range: inboard, in/outboard, hybrids.
Under hybrid categories, main focus will be done to the small and innovative HPE Hybrid. This engine can produce energy and propulsion at the same time and it is ideally conceived for navigation in protected areas or around the coasts.
Biggest innovation will be shown under inboard categories: the 13 HPE40, 40 CV and 1300 cc engine to be driven without boating license! It's a high displacement marine engine offering great performances at maximum power.

On May, 29th, on the occasion of “La Borsa della Ricerca” event, C.M.D. met at University of Salerno academic istitutions and start up involved in engineering field to check updated advanced technologies projects.
Nicola Scaldarella, Director of Electronic Control Systems – Diesel & Gasoline, and Maurizio La Villetta, R&D Researcher – Energy Dept, exchanged new ideas and evaluated new co-working activities opportunities with eminent univiersities like Industrial Engineering and Mathematics Dept of “Politecnico delle Marche”, CRMPA – Centre for Research in Pure and Applied Mathematics and Università del Salento.
C.M.D. has been involving since longtime in Research field and cooperating with important public and private istitutions like Università degli Studi della Basilicata, CIRA (Centro Italiano Ricerche Aerospaziali), Università degli Studi di Napoli Federico II, Università del Salento and CNR – Istituto Motori.
Prestigious companies and istitutions, like ENEL and MISE -PON, attended this event.

On May, 29th, C.M.D. will be at "La Borsa della Ricerca", a special event sponsored by Fondazione Emblema; its main target is to create a concrete hub to promote experience exchanges among academic institutions, R&D experts, companies, start ups and private and public investors and support development and innovation of technology.

CMD "Supply Chain Finance" project is the winner of "Purchases in Cross-functional Team" category at "The Procurement Awards" 2018, the Italian award for the best Purchasing Depts projects.
During the event, which has been held at Palazzo Litta, a historical building located in Milano, "Supply Chain Finance" project by Mr. Giovanni Mosca, C.M.D. Chief Planning, Budget & Control Officer, got an extraordinary success among the attendees.
Work's content Mr. Mosca introduced has been focused on strategic synergy of Finance and Purchase, able to give Company a meaningful and competitive benefit thanks to the improvement of all Purchasing process.
C.MD. project has got an important financial support by Supply Chain Fund of Groupama Asset Management SGR.
It has been selected by a Scientific Committee, composed of Purchasing Directors of well-known and outstanding international companies, like Lavazza, Ferrero, Alitalia, Alfa Laval, Samsung, Maire Tecnimont, Bracco, Banca Mediolanum, and by Mrs. Antonella Moretto, MBA Executive Director of Politecnico di Milano.
All categories have been partnered by Ayming, HRS, Tesisquare, BCD Travel ed Europcar, which have awarded the winners.
On May, 10th at 6:00 pm at Palazzo Litta in Milano, C.M.D. Costruzioni Motori Diesel S.p.A. is going to participate to “The Procurement Awards 2018” Ceremony with a project entitled "Supply Chain Finance" by Mr. Giovanni MOSCA, company's Chief Planning, Budget & Control Officer.
Mr. Mosca will be honoured to introduce to the event's attendees his work, which is focused on Supply Chain as a company's resource and added value.
Project has been approved by an outstanding Scientific Committee and has been included in the first three positions for "Purchases in Interfuctional Team" category.
