For our visitors we will show our 13HPEP, 110HP marine engine, 4 cylinder diesel ready to fit to Mercruiser Alpha One stern drive.

CMD continues its effort within the eco-sustainability field.

In fact, the company has attended the water test of the boat, that has been equipped with electric powertrain engine in Pozzuoli (Imare Project), supplying the internal combustion engine.

CMD as project manager, has attended with several partners at the event: UMBRA GROUP who supplied the electric engine, VGA Srl the battery pack, and the shipyard NAUTICA SALPA SRL has prepared the boat.

In collaboration with ECOLINE MARINE shipyard of Mr. Fausto Colombi it will show the ECOLUX BHS hybrid boat (powered by a 300 hp diesel engine in /outboard and BHS electric motor from 20 kW) at the next Cannes Yachting Festival (7-12 September).
Our BHS can sail in electric mode with an autonomy of over 3 hours.

CMD, in collaboration with STEMS (Istituto di Scienze e Tecnologie per l’Energia e la Mobilità Sostenibili) and the Department of Industrial Engineering of University of Naples Federico II has written a new scientific paper on the design and management of an innovative hybrid thermoelectric propulsion system for the nautical field.

It will be published in "Energy Conversion and Management", edited by Elsevier, one of the most important international scientific publishing houses.

The paper, entitled “Model based optimal management of a hybrid propulsion system for leisure boats”, describes through the case study of a leisure boat, which is used for passenger transportation in touristic areas, how the introduction of innovative hybrid solutions has been revolutionary for the sailing and how it has been indispensable for the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Venice Boat Show is back, the innovative Blue Hybrid System will be at 2nd edition of the event.

After a pause due to COVID 19, the important international exhibition of boating will return to host, from 29 May to 6 June 2021, more than 220 boats and over 160 exhibitors at the Arsenal.

Back to the event the Blue Hybrid System, the system entirely designed and developed by CMD SPA that this year will be shown at Vio Nautica Ing. Ruggero VIO srl, exclusive distributor of BHS (coupling Volvo Penta engines and other diesel engines) for the Venetian lagoon and at the AS LABRUNA booth, exclusive BHS distributor (FNM motor coupling) for whole Italy.

Furthermore, visitors will be able to see the excellent performance, the "zero emissions" mode and the low noise levels of the BHS installed on different boats present at the Show, both private and institutional, such as:

- patrol boat of Guardia di Finanza

- Veritas boat

- Arma dei Carabinieri's taxi

- ECO 850 Hybrid taxi

- taxi DP7 CASANOVA

The last one will participate in the E-REGATTA, the first regatta for electric, hybrid and fuel cell boats to be held during the course of the event, organized by the partners Assonautica di Venezia, Associazione Motonautica di Venezia, VeniceAgenda2028, Venti di Cultura and IWI- Inland Waterways International. All participating boats will compete in “endurance”, agility and speed tests.
